Role Purpose Plan and carry out lab work to obtain quantitative mechanistic understanding to: Support development and optimisation of new manufacturing routes and formulations Develop and improve current manufacturing processes for new and existing products Support Strategic Enabling Technology projects Critical Success Factors Actively applies scientific expertise to influence projects and innovation Establish technical networks spanning PSG, Global Sourcing & Production, Development and Research functions Deliver projects with high quality information to meet the demands of business specific and strategic projects Critical Knowledge Chemistry: Educated to at least Honours Degree standard with industrial experience and / or a PhD Laboratory/analytical: Comprehensive experience and knowledge Physico-chemical awareness: Ability to apply physico-chemical concepts to process development including use of specialised data analysis tools Problem solving: Ability to analyse complex and diverse problem situations creatively leading to the generation and implementation of original solutions Management: Time management, team management and meeting skills, work planning > 4 weeks self and reports Communication: Ability to convey the right level of detail to the right audience verbally, in writing, or by presentations and ability to judge when and who to communicate key information Networking: Able to maintain and extend networks internally with other parts of the organisation and externally Qualifications Critical Leadership Capabilities Creates an environment that supports creativity Skilfully plans, organizes and monitors performance to meet deadlines Prioritizes actions and ensures appropriate support and resource Senses and adapts to the changing environment to achieve excellence in delivery Additional Information The role requires networking and travel between Syngenta sites Globally An ability to work and communicate within multi-disciplinary teams Syngenta will offer Competitive benefits package Up to 31.5 days holiday Good onsite facilities, gym, fitness classes, staff restaurant #Chem Primary Location: GBR-Berkshire-Bracknell Work Locations: G06-Jealotts Hill Int.
