THE POSITION: IT ADMINISTRATOR Based in London, iRobot are actively looking for an IT Administrator who will be responsible for installation, testing, maintenance and support of infrastructure and endpoint elements consisting of: operating systems, storage, virtualization, networks and security. Breadth of Scope: routine tasks, backups, troubleshooting and administration for dedicated infrastructure elements consisting of: operating systems, storage, virtualization, networks and security. Routine systems administration. Project delivery & support. Focus Areas: Routine tasks and backups; daily systems administration; troubleshooting problems; enhancements, updates, patches and upgrades. Assisting delivery of infrastructure projects. Primary Responsibilities Installed base – Implements enhancements, updates, upgrades and patches to ensure equipment is preventively maintained, running properly and protected from computer viruses and other security threats. Ensures users are kept informed of changes on a timely basis. Assists in testing prior to going live. Performance Optimization - Monitors and reports on processes, up-time, performance, utilization and capacity of technologies. Alerts management of less than desirable results and suggests action to remedy. Backups - Executes and monitors equipment backups to ensure data and applications are safeguarded and can be restored to establish normal operation after an incident or disaster. Troubleshooting - Troubleshoots moderately complex support problems and provides or obtains their timely resolution. Analyzes failures and implements short and long-term corrective actions. Escalates highly complex problems to more senior IT Infrastructure Engineers to facilitate their resolution. Writes and maintains technical documentation, policies and procedures related to networking and infrastructure and updates as necessary. Delivery & support of infrastructure projects locally and across other iRobot locations. Adheres to company polices and industry standards on compliance, information security and confidentiality. Identifies, documents and presents improvements to IT processes. Participate in local and global projects as part of a global IT team. Technologies Microsoft Windows OS 10 support & administration. Microsoft Windows Server OS 2016 support & administration. Microsoft Office 2016 application support. Microsoft Office 365 support & administration. Active Directory / DNS / DHCP / Group Policy Zoom / AV collaboration support & administration. IP Telephony support experience. Hardware Cisco switching, wireless & VPN support beneficial. SAN storage & virtualization support preferable. Lenovo ThinkPad support. Apple Mac & iPad. Support of video & audio conferencing hardware. Skillset Strong support & administration background preferred. Comfortable with hands-on support and can-do attitude. Good customer service and communication skills. Exposure to projects beneficial. Analytical and self-driven individual. Resourceful with good problem-solving skills. Travel This role may include occasional travel within Europe.
