Roles & Responsibilities PURPOSE To conduct motor survey and assess damages on motor vehicles in workshops, inspect and verify the extent of damage and consistency KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES To assess cost of repairs in accordance with the agreed rates with panel workshops To assess and negotiate cost of repairs with third party claimant or workshops Identify exaggerated and inflated claims and assess the reasonableness of repair cost charged by motor workshops Timely completion of daily survey assignments within the respective guidelines and TAT To fully support the Motor Claims Team to achieve the Claims Service Guarantee i.e. survey & repairs authorization to be completed within 1 working day Review preliminary automobile inspection reports and provide technical support for claims officers and comment on repair costs To eliminate leakage though fraudulent and/or inflated claim To conduct regular file review and perform technical control on cases handled by external motor surveyors Ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the manager QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or NITEC 2 in Motor Mechanic Minimum 3 years of survey experience in motor industry and strong vehicular / automotive knowledge Familiar with motor insurance claims process Certificate in General Insurance would be an added advantage KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS Proactive and professional communication with relevant stakeholders; mainly motor repairer and policyholders Comfortable and confident in using IT software/applications Possess Class 3 Driving License and travel to location in the course of work using own vehicle
