The HR Coordinator is responsible for the undertaking of a variety of HR duties. Recruitment/New Hire Process Participate in the recruitment and selection process by posting job ads, organizing resumes and scheduling interviews Assist in the interview process Conduct reference checks for selected candidates Perform all onboarding activities including but not limited to: preparing new employee files, assisting with new employee orientation, ensure all sign off forms are completed, gather new employee documents, etc. Payroll and Benefits Administration Process payroll and ensure that vacation and sick time are tracked electronically Provide employees with benefit information Record Maintenance Perform file audits as necessary Maintain records related to performance reviews, grievances, and disciplinary actions Complete termination paperwork and assist with exit interviews if applicable Qualifications: HR Diploma or Degree CHRP Designation an asset Clean Vulnerable Sector Check Valid G Drivers Licence First Aid and CPR Professional manner and ability to maintain client confidentiality Above average organizational skills Strong interpersonal skills Ability to maintain a calm and balanced demeanor when faced with challenging behaviors; ability to de-escalate and problem-solve distressing situations Skills in office work and computer proficiency Above average written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment Benefits: Vacation & paid time off On-site parking Discounted/free food Job Type: Part-time Experience: Human Resources: 1 year (Required)
