Position Summary: Eiffel Corp sells fantastic technology products to education clients in Africa. Senior Technical Consultants are the people at Eiffel Corp who provide support to clients through professional services such as hosting, integration, training and support. Senior Technical Consultants are technology and product experts who help our clients to be successful with the technology and products well sell. They know how to get the most out of the products we specialise in for the benefit of education clients. They are tenacious professionals and strong communicators who go the extra mile to make clients happy. Key Activities & Responsibilities: Assisting clients with technology and product queries Delivering high quality training and professional services to customers Accurate and timely processing of support cases using Eiffel Corp and/or partner support systems Adhering to or exceeding SLAs for products and/or clients they support Actively maintaining own technology and product expertise Actively maintaining and improving Eiffel Corp’s internal processes and resources Knowledge, Skills & Competencies: Communication Skills: excellent communication skills are required for this role. Senior Technical Consultants must be able to express complex concepts clearly and succinctly, both in writing and verbally. They must also be able to listen effectively in order to fully understand client queries. Presentation Skills: excellent presentation skills are required for this role. Senior Technical Consultants must be comfortable working face to face with clients to present training and deliver professional services to clients. Problem Solving: Senior Technical Consultants must be tenacious and should have a systematic approach to problem solving. Product Knowledge: up to date and comprehensive knowledge of relevant products is required for this role. Senior Technical Consultants must ensure that they develop their product knowledge to keep abreast of new features and capabilities. Technical Skills / Knowledge: Senior Technical Consultants must have knowledge and skills of the constituent and supporting technologies used the products they work with. These skills should include relevant technical qualifications and certifications where applicable. Industry and Cultural Awareness: All Eiffel Corp employees need to be aware of education industry culture and practices. Education clients have differences we need to be sensitive to, including working conditions, availability, organisational structure, and resources. Experience & Qualifications: We will prefer candidates with more of the following skills and experience: Matric (or equivalent) Applicable tertiary qualification Applicable technical qualifications / certifications 5-7 Years of experience in a similar technical / application support or consulting role. LMS / VLE product and service knowledge LMS / VLE supporting technology skills & experience: Web and application servers: IIS, Apache & Tomcat Operating Systems: Windows Server & Linux (especially the latter). Databases: SQL Server, Oracle RDBMS, MySql Cloud Infrastructure: AWS, Azure. Devops experience also desirable. Additional requirements: Normal Eiffel Corp business hours are observed Emergency on-call work may also be required Security clearance checks will be required for some client project work Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: R35,000.00 /month Experience: similar technical: 3 years (Required) Licence: Driver's License (Required)
