aps is a successful, diverse and well-established live events and media production company located in the grounds of Abney Park, Cheadle. We specialise in the production of global events and creating exciting and innovative digital media mainly within the healthcare industry. Due to expansion we are now seeking a Brand and Communications Lead to help enhance our brand message and online presence. Typically, this role will involve the creation of engaging content, not only for our formal social media pages such as LinkedIn, but also internally helping to engage our employees with our business activities. This could be achieved by, for example, building a brand campaign strategy by regularly liaising with the teams to discuss their upcoming projects to form an input into content, researching trends to draft an opinion piece, working with our media team regarding website updates or sharing our latest CSR initiative. In addition, keeping employees up to date with ‘what’s happening’ in the business as part of our internal PR will feature, which could be a quick reminder post on our Facebook page about an upcoming social event or a new starter bio for our newsletter and anything in between. As well as supporting our external PR, there may also be opportunities to help with the organisation and promotion of our internal and social events which could be a company-wide information sharing meeting, or a family fun day! As this is focusing on our brand and PR, the procurement of apsbranded goodswill also be part of this role. This will involve researching ideas for corporate gifts and liaising/negotiating with suppliers for quotes, orders etc. as well as re-ordering existing merchandise and ensuring it is distributed. Requirements Attention to detail and accuracy is obviously key to this role, as is a creative eye and ability to produce content that complements the nature and culture of our business. You’ll have had exposure to developing brand campaigns and PR exercises and be experienced in Photoshop or other design, editing and creative software packages in a social media context. Experience of managing web content and updates, either directly or by liaising with a dedicated web/media team is also required. This role might suit a recent graduate or someone looking to progress to their next step from a social media assistant type role.
