Walt Disney Television Group is seeking a Finance Manager for ABC News to partner with leadership teams and be responsible for show support as it relates to financial analysis and reporting. This role will work closely with Operations, Editorial, and other support areas. The Manager position will lead a team supporting Good Morning America, World News Tonight w/ David Muir, The View, Strahan, Sara, & Keke, and This Week w/George Stephanopoulos. This role will be key to driving high-quality analyses that support decision making across these areas. Additionally, the position will support the financial planning process for budgets, forecasts, and long range plans as well as monitoring weekly / bi-weekly performance and trending across the show portfolio. The position reports to the ABC News Senior Manager. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance Prior media/television/broadcast industry experience SAP / Cognos / TM1 experience a plus Prior supervisory experience a plus Minimum of 5-7 years relevant work experience in financial reporting & analysis/forecasting/business operations support High level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint Deliverable-focused with a strong work ethic and ability to prioritize tasks and work independently Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and build relationships with various business partners across all levels of management Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to handle multiple priorities Financial Reporting & Planning Own day-to-day financial reporting partnering with Sr. Management and Operations Prepare reports on financial performance comparing forecast and budget and effectively communicate financial results and variance drivers to Business Partners Develop reporting tools to facilitate business analysis; identify and help teams implement cost saving recommendations in collaboration with Business Partners Oversee quarterly close process and provide reporting on financial results and business performance drivers Own/prepare the budget/forecast/Long Range Plan for operating expenses, salaries and headcount for shows Ad hoc analyses for Business Partners (incl. labor, T&E, freelance, segment spend) Business Planning & Support Develop and mentor two senior financial analysts Be an essential resource for Business Partners and become an integral part of the decision making team Develop reporting tools reflecting consistency to analyze spending patterns and proactively lead change across the group Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance Preferred Education: Minimum of 5-7 years relevant work experience in financial reporting & analysis/forecasting/business operations support High level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint Deliverable-focused with a strong work ethic and ability to prioritize tasks and work independently Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and build relationships with various business partners across all levels of management Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to handle multiple priorities Company Overview: English
