Z Modular is seeking a Jr. Revit Designer with experience in the design and modeling of modular residential buildings. This position requires the candidate to work with the in-house design team to model architectural designs and details. The candidate must be highly skilled in the interpretation of building design documents, the development of construction documents and building science. The ideal candidate will have an interest in modular construction, automated fabrication systems, parametric design software, and developing alternative approaches to the design and construction industry. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Design: Review existing/create new building designs Details: Adapt existing/develop new modular details for construction drawings Revit skills: Complete building package, plus customizing families and schedules Coordinate: Review design details and flag questions, conflicts or inconsistencies Office work: Work with Senior Designer to identify weekly production needs Sales support: Convert or develop preliminary designs for potential clients Represent: Meetings with Architects/Owner to describe the Z Modular process & details Drawing: Organize & oversee drawing packages including Permit & Shop Drawing REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: Experience: 1+ years in construction/architectural design Degree: Architecture or Architectural Technology Communication: Liaison with Client and Design team Design: Revit and AutoCAD required, Sketchup, SolidWorks is an asset Construction: General knowledge of contract management and administration Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role Zekelman is an Equal Opportunity Employer compliant with all Ontario law & Human Rights Code in providing accommodation to persons with disabilities and to ensuring an accessible environment.
