Yurek Specialties Limited is a state-of-the-art processing facility in London, ON, which features the latest equipment to support the processing, production, and delivery of medications, medical supplies and infusion equipment, along with related supplies, to the Elgin, Norfolk, Oxford, London-Middlesex, Huron, Perth, Grey, Bruce and Grand River counties. We are currently looking for a hand-on, process-oriented full-time Pharmacy Manager (Pharmacist) with strong communication and people-leadership skillsto join our Yurek Specialties team in London, Ontario. Job Summary: Reporting the Director of Pharmacy Operations and the Owner, the Pharmacy Manager will utilize their management, logistics and infusion experiences to assume complete responsibility for management of the pharmacy department that is servicing patients receiving specialized and complex therapies administered in their homes or hospices. Duties will include: Assuming the role of Designated Manager in this facility. Monitoring all daily operation activities of the pharmacy department both visually and through the use of data, taking accountability and action to correct any issues identified as appropriate. Limiting risk management and safety exposure in the pharmacy. Ensuring the pharmacy clean room suite meets 797 requirements. · Investigating errors, complaints, or other quality incidents including conducting a root cause analysis, identifying and executing appropriate actions plans, and following up for effectiveness Leading, supporting, developing, and managing all direct reports including pharmacists, Pharmacy Supervisor, Compounding Supervisor, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy assistants. Interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work. · Taking responsibility for and facilitating pertinent and regular communication upwards (to Senior Leadership, HR, Quality), downward (to front line employees), and laterally (to other departments and any other stakeholders) Participating in on-call rotation and pharmacist coverage, including the possibility of weekends, as indicated by staffing and business needs. Regularly reviews research, current best practices, standards and legislation to ensure pharmacy policies are up-to-date. Ensuring that we are OCP and NAPRA compliant and develops/maintains an organization structure to ensure compliance sustainability. As the standards expert, works with supervisors and pharmacists to develop, implement, communicate, and train on policies and procedures, staff education, and other training. Education, Skills and Job Requirements: · Holds a B. Sc. Phm. Degree. · Three (3) months experience in Kroll dispensary software an asset. · Current Licensure and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists · Minimum 3 years’ experience in infusions and sterile processing · Ability to develop, establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff, other health care providers and community agencies. · Strong and professional leadership, coaching, training, and people-development skills · Process-oriented with a focus on increasing efficiency, removal of waste, and continuous improvement · Strong communication skills; able to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively with employees, customers, colleagues, leaders, and other internal and external stakeholders. · Develop an understanding of Finestra POS system.
