Yogen Früz Job Description Department: Accounting Position Type: Full Time Job Title: Junior Accountant Job Purpose The objective of the Junior Accountant position with Yogen Früz is to maintain accounting books with the fully cycles of accounting, but is not limited to those listed below, reporting to the team leader/controller. General Duties: · Processes account receivables issuing sales invoices for non-product items and collecting receivables in a timely manner. · Issues invoices for franchise fee & licensee fee and collects them timely · Verifies monthly store sales and records royalty receivables and advertising fee receivables and collects them timely. · Records accounts payable verifying vendor bills. · Process payments for the duly approved bills. · Processes payrolls/payroll taxes/ROE/WSIB Premiums for a corporately owned stores. · Handles government filings such as GST/HST returns. · Records bank deposits into books applying to proper A/R invoices. · Reconciles balance sheet accounts such as bank accounts. · Assists the team leader/controller performing monthly closing procedures including making journal entries, reviewing sub-ledgers/general ledgers, and preparing financial statements. Skills/Qualifications: · Recent graduate with accounting certificate/degree. · One to two years’ experience in accounting field and knowledge in intermediate accounting and taxation. · Well organized and detail oriented. · Knowledge in accounting software such as Quick Books will be an asset.
