GymStar Coordinator As GymStar Coordinator this position requires you to liaise with other GymStar staff members. The GymStar Coordinator must possess organisational skills, customer services skills, knowledge and the ability to use their own initiative. The Coordinator will have an understanding of the GymStar program and requirements for children 7-15 years of ages and ensure all patrons receive the highest possible level of instruction. You will be coaching any of the following Artistic Gymnastics at GymStar levels 4-10. Further education, training and workshops will be required to be undertaken to ensure professional development. There will be opportunities for addition work in the Gymnastics Recreational and Birthday Parties if the successful candidate is available. Key Responsibilities Organise and prepare/ write programs, before each program begins Organise and Prepare competition calendar, notices and payment notes Complete competition entries and put in gymnastic coordinator tray for payment. Organise and prepare in house Gymstar competitions. Liaise with other Gymstar staff to ensure they know where to find programs Direct involvement with the provision of service delivery for the YMCA Gymnastics program including GymStar gymnastics classes. Communicate with GymStar parents and carers ensuring they are aware of all gymnastics competitions open to them. To act in a mature, reliable and professional manner towards the center and participants. Ensure a clean, neat presentation and appearance at all times. Ensure classes start and finish on time. To show interest and enthusiasm in your coaching. Ensure children are gaining maximum benefit from their classes. Ensure thorough preparation for each class and provide a high standard of instruction Liaise with other coaches regarding equipment usage and allocation of class area. Keep abreast of new and innovative teaching techniques. To be bright, cheerful and encouraging when coaching. Ensure feedback occurs between parents and coaches so everyone is kept up-to-date with progress being made. Assess and upgrade children as necessary and communicate changes through to administration. Ensure each individual is given adequate attention. Involvement with assisting with the YMCA Junior Coaches program as required. Attend all staff meetings and training sessions where appropriate. Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor and in line with center/site objectives.
