WWT EMEA UK currently has an opportunity available for a Consulting Systems Engineer with a strong background in networks to support our growing European Enterprise Sales and Engineering team located in Canary Wharf, London UK. You will have in depth knowledge and valuable experience of various IT infrastructure technologies and have broad knowledge of the ecosystem players. You will also need to be able to evangelise and create a narrative for the customer based on this expertise. The ability to credibly face off to Senior Customer / OEM Engineering leads and Executives as well as being able to tailor conversations effectively for the intended audience during sales meetings is crucial for success of this role. With solid experience of technical pre-sales consulting you will be capable of creating and publishing subject matter content that can be utilized by WWT to raise our profile and also elevate yourself within the industry. This Technical Pre-Sales Engineer will support enterprise clients in the UK, Europe and global markets. Qualified candidates need to have, or be in the advanced stages of achieving a High-Level technical accreditation (i.e. CCIE) with one or a number of the key vendors that WWT are engaged with. Examples would be: Cisco, DellEMC, HPe, NetApp, Nvidia. Responsibilities: Engaging effectively with the Global Accounts field sales team in support of customer pursuits, to advance sales campaigns and build rapport with customer contacts Assist in developing Statements of Work and Bills of Materials IT infrastructure design and architecture Attend and lead customer business meetings with and without Account Executives Recognise, support and assist in the scope and pricing of Professional Services work Develop and maintain customer relationships Present and hold technology conversations with senior members of the customer (CXO) Serve as the technical liaison to not just our customers but also internally to WWT Building strong relationships in the UK region with WWT's key OEM partners to foster collaboration and field level engagement Achieving and maintaining required technology certifications and competencies Delivering Effective Customer & Partner Presentations Providing Effective Engineering Support of Customer Initiatives Leading and Presenting during Demand Generation Events Demonstrate Solid Teamwork and Peer Collaboration Ability to travel in and outside the UK Qualifications Qualifications and experience requirements: 6-10 years of pre-sales, technical or customer experience Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments, ideally at the Fortune 500 level Experience of projects in at least one key market vertical, examples including Global Finance, Pharmaceuticals, Retail Demonstrable consultative technical "selling" skills - able to rapidly extract the customer's business problems, that can then potentially be solved with a technology based solution Proven client presentation skills Strong pre-sales technical skills, and some hands-on skills, in one or more of Voice and Video collaboration Core and Edge networking DataCentre infrastructure (CI, HCI, Compute, Storage) Big Data and Analytics Enterprise Security/ Cyber-Security Data/Object Storage Virtualisation (VDI/VSI) Cloud Technologies or DevOps Experience with an OEM Partner at "Gold" level or equivalent is preferable Bachelor's Degree preferred, equivalent experience considered
