What we're looking for: Winchester Interconnect has an immediate opening for a Logistics Associate. This position will move material between warehouses, accurately make the appropriate transactions in Axiom, restock floor Kanbans, retrieve material requested by Warehouse Lead or operators, maintain cleanliness in warehouse areas and generally service the needs of operations as directed by supervision. Logistics personnel must be able to obtain a valid forklift operator license and be able to safely operate a forklift up to 6 hours. ***This is a first shift opportunity. The hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday. Job Responsibilities: Operate forklifts in a safe manner including obeying the speed limit and being aware of personnel in the immediate area. Communicate with Warehouse Lead and operators to identify raw material needs for production; retrieve and return raw material to the warehouse. Accurately transact raw material, in Axiom, to ensure inventory accuracy. Load, unload and clean compound driers. Accurately transact material in and out of driers. Maintain traceability of material in driers. Transport unused product back to warehouse location. Replenish Kanbans on the production floor. Replace material in the warehouse in an organized manner. Practice consolidation methods and FIFO (First In First Out). Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse. Be courteous and positive during interactions with people. Continually improve personally and professionally. Manage WIP reels and finished product reels. Collect empty gaylords from production floor and process for disposal. Collect scrap filled gaylords, weigh, and deliver to designated area. Collect skids of vendor reels and bobbins from production floor and stage for return. Manage scrap wood by collecting and loading into dumpster. Practice general 5S. Perform daily and weekly fork truck preventative maintenance. Additional duties and responsibilities as needed. Criteria for Success: High school diploma or equivalent Extremely detail oriented. Self motivated and works well in a team environment. High level of composure in stressful situations. Effective time management skills. Strong communication and people skills required; must be able to communicate in the English language, verbally and in writing. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Excellent interpersonal skills. Able to lift items weighing up to 40 lbs. Able to work standing up or sitting down for extended periods of time. Able to bend, scoop, flex, in order to reach items to be stocked or pulled from shelves. ****The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Technical Expertise Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc. Forklift and pallet jack certified. Working knowledge of Axiom preferred.
