We are seeking a dynamic, charismatic and experienced sales leader to join our team. The Director of Sales is a strategic selling leader that thrives working directly with clients while building a high performance team. The DoS creates winning sales programs across a diverse service portfolio and has demonstrated the ability to meet and exceed financial results. The DoS is an action-oriented leader, networks successfully in the marketplace, and implements and models consultative and social selling practices to build long term senior level relationships. Critical to this role is the ability to balance direct business development activities with delegation and team development. Responsible for the leadership of a growing sales team, the DOS enables team performance through well designed sales training, incentive plans, territory management, account development strategies and automated sales operations. The DoS manages sales related expenses, always seeking a balance between motivating team performance and the financial objectives of the organization. The DoS takes a consistent approach in assessing clients needs, articulating a competitive value proposition and proposing solutions through the creation of leading-edge proposals, estimates, and presentations. Experience creating effective go-to-market strategies, while operationalizing new services and offerings into a sales organization, is an asset. Reporting to the Vice President, the DoS is an adaptable leader with experience navigating a matrix organization; always seeking opportunities to bring forward recommendations that drive shared business outcomes and foster strong cross-functional relationships with team members and leaders. As a senior leader in the organization, the DoS must develop strong working relationships with peers and subordinates including but not limited to marketing, finance and operations and must instill and monitor the application of company values. Requirements University or Post-Secondary Education (in related field) and 5+ years of consultative selling and sales leadership experience in a service related industry, ideally within the digital printing/marketing, ECM/document management or managed services market. · Experience building and leading sales organization to growth · Success driving high performance in the face of adversity and market change · Proven ability to consistently meet/exceed sales quotas · Excellent leadership and influencing skills · Demonstrated ability and confidence in industry networking · Establish and maintain trusted business relationships with key customers, prospects and partners/alliances · Experienced in targeted account selling, solution selling, and/or consultative sales techniques (knowledge of Challenger selling is an asset) · Experience with strategic planning · Strong communication and presentation skills; a confident public speaker · Highly innovative and tech savvy with a passion for bringing high-value services into a sales organization and markets · Drive the adoption and automation of sales cycle management in the company CRM, (salesforce.com/Hubspot) · Manage and provide accurate reporting; sales pipeline, forecasts, and key performance measures · Develop sales playbook and enablement program that can scale across selling roles and markets (i.e. presentations, proposals) · Expedite the resolution of customer issues to achieve service excellence and retention. · Keep current with competition and competitive issues, products and services Working Conditions This position is located in Calgary, Alberta. The corporate work environment is described as entrepreneurial, professional, high energy, high velocity, responsive, collaborative, and team oriented. Standard hours of operation are 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Job demands may require travel and work hours outside of Standard hours of operation.
