Roles & Responsibilities: · Maintenance and overseeing of Environmental and Irrigation Systems. · Constant monitoring of all environmental systems and ensuring that environmental variables are within set point targets. · Constant monitoring of irrigation feeds and recipes. · Making adjustments to the feeds to dial in EC and pH targets. · Visual inspection of the equipment, flow meters, pumps, filters and valves. · Set up notifications and fix problems. · Plan, order and build future irrigation systems. · Fix environment problem through / via ARGUS. · Tracking ARGUS EC/pH values to ensure proper feeds. · Checking that all pumps are running for the irrigation system and ensuring that they are running at the correct psi set point. · experiments management. · Maintain strategy for crop irrigation. · Maintain HVAC system. · Work closely with grow team to ensure irrigation plan is properly implemented and maintained. · Maintain inventory of all chemicals and fertilizers on site. · Ensure fertilizer concentrate tanks are filled adequately. · Respond to fertigation alarms and troubleshoot issues. · Take measurements, record data and observations. · Write and execute Standard Operating Procedures related to irrigation. · Maintain grow room sanitation protocols. · Performs regular calibration of nutrient testing instruments. · Monitor soil moisture content of the crop and obtain water samples for testing. · Participate in continuous improvements initiatives. · Ensure the team is aware of and following work instructions to ensure the health of the plant. · Receive any incoming shipments in the warehouse and maintain inventory when necessary. · Able to work variable shifts including weekends. · Run-off measurements. · Monitor Argus system control every day. Personal Attributes: · Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with senior management. · Excellent problem-solving skills. · Process focused with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment that is constantly changing. · Proven project management skills – must be able to handle multiple projects with different deadlines. · Strong written and verbal communication skills, impeccable interpersonal skills. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office / MacBook Air and the ability to pick up new technology and software easily. Qualifications: · Proven Argus-system control. · Good mechanical and computer skills. · Attention to detail. · Manual dexterity and a willingness to work indoors in all conditions. · Physical and cognitive ability necessary to do confined space entry. Education: · Bachelor of Science in Soil Science, Environmental Sciences or related/equivalent program · Minimum 2 years experience in agriculture or a soil-related field. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $40,000.00 to $45,000.00 /year Experience: agriculture or a soil-related field: 2 years (Preferred) Education: Bachelor's Degree (Required)
