The Role Wavebreak Media is a media production company based in Ballincollig, Co.Cork. We are looking for an IT Administrator and Content manager to work alongside our VP of Engineering. You will be the primary person responsible for IT Administration and support in a growing office with around 50 people. You will also be responsible for managing the product catalogues and databases, manipulation and exporting of data and media files using MySQL and in-house tools. You may also be required to modify and test in-house php applicationrs. Responsibilities: Provide technical support and consultancy to all staff Produce and maintain technical documentation and user guides for all relevant IT systems. Install, configure and maintain PCs and associated peripherals Maintain asset inventory of hardware and software. Perform routine IT activities such as back-ups Data and file management of media product catalogues Active Directory and Google Admin Management Skill set: Must be a self-starter with a proven ability to manage your own time and workload You must be able to operate effectively to a fast-paced environment Ability to quickly learn, understand, and support existing administration tools. Comfortable working at the command line level on Linux Apache and MySql servers Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows required Experience in web application development using PHP, Javascript and MySQL. Competencies 3rd level qualification in Computer Science or equivalent essential Strong knowledge of MySQL Basic knowledge of Linux required Must have excellent oral and written English, preferably first language. Willingness to work outside standard office hours when required. Strong general IT skills required.
