Job Summary This is a responsible engineering position involving assistance in the application of technical skills performed in the field or in the office. Work involves assistance in the engineering of projects such as drainage ditches, highways, storm sewers, bridges, road resurfacing, and associated surveying and drafting. Work is performed in accordance with departmental procedures and accepted professional standards. Work will involve assistance to the Highway Department either with direct or general supervision. Work may involve contact with other county employees and the general public. Essential Responsibilities Perform all work in a safe, efficient, and expedient manner. Perform other related Department tasks as assigned. Qualifications No experience necessary Minimum Qualifications: 18 years of age College student in Civil Engineering or Land Surveying, or related field major; OR High School student with advanced level of math courses
