Mechanical Design Engineer Overview: The Mechanical Design Engineer will create and modify components and systems of kiosk vending systems. Under the direction of the Sustaining Engineering manager the position will research, design, model and test enhancements for the company’s automated delivery systems. Watermill Express is the nation’s largest drive-up water and ice vending retailer and is the OEM of these state-of-the art automated kiosks. Responsibilities/Duties include: CAD modeling and drawing creation in SolidWorks Create technical instructions for assembly Support manufacturing needs including design modifications and process changes Research of materials and components for compliance and cost effectivity Provide hands-on mechanical design/prototyping on select projects Other duties and projects as assigned Knowledge Requirements: Mechanical Engineering Standard manufacturing processes and benefits (sheet metal, machine parts, roto-molding, etc.) SolidWorks proficient, or CSWA with other CAD platform experience Proficient in Microsoft office applications: Word, Power Point and Excel Skill & Characteristic Requirements: Maintain a Professional demeanor Ability to effectively communicate in technical and non-technical discussions Strong organizational skills Strong technical documentation skills Ability to work multiple projects at varying levels of completion Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with all levels of staff Excellent problem solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills Education / Experience: BS degree in Mechanical Engineering Assembly, machine shop, fabrication or construction experience 1-3 years working as an engineer, Including internship experience Job Type: Full-time Experience: 3d solid modeling: 1 year (Required) mechanical design: 1 year (Required) Education: Bachelor's (Required) Application Question: This position does not have moving expenses available.
