We are currently recruiting a Part Time Community Development Facilitator who has the ability to work effectively across a broad range of stakeholders in an evolving and growing community environment. This role involves facilitating community-led activities that create a healthier, happier, safer Waimakariri District. This is in line with the Waimakariri District Council Community Development Strategy 2015 - 2025 and the criteria for our status as an International Safe Community To be successful in this position you will demonstrate significant experience in: Working to a community-led model Networking Community Engagement Facilitating groups, including organising and running meetings Project planning and evaluation Social and on-line media Working across a range of sectors, including business, social and community Working with people from a diverse range of cultural, socio-economic and values-based demographics We are looking for self-motivated people who are able to motivate others and encourage innovative thinking to generate solutions to community-identified issues and opportunities. Your ability to build rapport and influence will compliment your excellent communication skills. You will need to be well organised and able to manage a workload of diverse portfolios to achieve timely outcomes. You will be able to work well as part of a team. It would be advantageous to have had active involvement in a range of communities of interest. Being passionate and willing to bring energy and enthusiasm will definitely be a plus!
