Graduate Mechanical Engineer Working with a large team based at our Toowoomba Workshop we are looking for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer. This role is a 12-month full-time fixed term position in a busy team environment specifically involved in the hands on design, quality assurance (QA) and scheduling work for various projects. Duties Assist in engineering design on various small and large projects; Organising and scheduling the fabrication works through to the painting facility. Track materials and hours of work needed for various projects; Ensure completed works are carried out in compliance with relative codes and standards; Ensure quality of fabrication, safety and environment aspects are followed to the requirements; Strong safety awareness with regular reporting to a supervisor. Working closely with other departments to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget; Skills and Experience Mechanical Engineering qualification; Practical trade background an advantage Strong knowledge of Inventor or similar 3D modelling package; Sound knowledge and understanding of Australian Standards; The ability to read and interpret drawings; Good technical knowledge and understanding of fabrication including welding compliance etc; Excellent communication, organisational and management skills; High attention to detail.
