Program Director - Healthcare will be the resident expert providing knowledge and helping set broad direction for our innovation efforts in the healthcare domain, especially depth in Tuberculosis ABOUT US The Wadhwani Institute for Artificial Intelligence (Wadhwani AI) is the world’s first independent nonprofit research institute developing AI solutions for social good. Our mission is to develop AI solutions to overcome challenges of societal importance in domains such as health, agriculture, financial inclusion, and infrastructure. Our team consists of world-renowned scientists, innovators, and entrepreneurs from Stanford, Yale, Cornell, and the IITs, with experience at companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and DE Shaw. We have research collaborations with Stanford University, Carnegie Mellon University, New York University, University of Southern California, and the University of Washington. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Set the strategy and direction for our innovation efforts in public/global health Identify organizations (government agencies, nonprofits, or corporates) to partner with, problem areas to focus on, and data sources relevant to those problems Guide and collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to narrow down problem areas to specific use-cases that we will build solutions for Build and maintain relationships with external partners and customers; plan and execute field experiments and pilots that are critical to our iterative approach Work with external stakeholders to transition pilots in to scaled deployments, with the goal of maximum, far-reaching and long-lasting and impact REQUIREMENTS 10-15 years of experience in healthcare consulting, specially in finding challenges that new solutions must overcome to be successful - what works, what doesn't - both on the ground, as well as programmatically. Depth in Tuberculosis and NCDs is a plus. Experience in contributing to designing/conceiving new interventions as a response to specific problems. Experience and ability to manage internal and external stakeholders in the public healthcare domain Experience in scaled implementation of new ideas across organisations and grassroot level Has knowledge of policies and programs within the healthcare sector.
