We are the market leader in France, UK, Ireland and Sweden. Due to a recent increase in clients, we are looking to grow our talented finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and supportive environment where you will work towards assisting with all aspects of the financial reporting cycle. The role This role will assist with the accounting on a number of entities; processing sales and purchase ledgers, managing bank accounts and helping to prepare management accounts. The person To apply, you must have at least 2 years’ experience as a Finance Assistant or similar role, specifically with experience of processing financial data including purchase/sales invoices, bank transactions and expenses processing. With excellent attention to detail you will also have strong IT skills, particularly MS Excel. The package The salary for this full-time position is between £20,000 and £25,000 per annum dependent on experience. All employees are eligible for private health insurance (BUPA), life assurance, 5% contributory employer pension scheme, 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), and flexible working arrangements. We are aware that this opportunity may attract candidates who are currently studying professional finance qualifications. Key tasks/ duties Process purchase invoices ensuring internal/external sign-off; Process bank postings and online bank payments Calculate and raise sales invoices Process incoming communications for WPO and client businesses; Ensure that all transactional and source documentation is properly captured, recorded, coded and processed in accordance with WPO procedures and best practice Assist with all other finance and accounting functions as required (e.g. sales ledger processing, VAT returns, month end reporting, accruals, prepayments, journals). Perform general admin/ad-hoc tasks (e.g. expenses processing) if required Key Requirements At least Level 3 AAT or equivalent (e.g. qualified by experience) Experience of accounting software, preferably Xero, Quickbooks and/or Sage Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g. SUMIF, Pivot) Must have experience of working in a busy, deadline driven environment and be able to plan and manage own workload/multiple tasks whilst also being adaptable to changing priorities.
