If you’re as passionate as us about books and have a natural ability to provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service, a WHSmith Bookseller position in our busy Dublin Airport stores could be perfect for you. For these positions, we are looking for candidates who would be able to work full time on a 5 out of 7 basis. We are looking for candidates who are fully flexible, as we have early and late shifts available (as listed below). Early: 4.00am- 12.00pm 5.00am - 13.00pm 6.00am - 14.00pm Late: 13.30pm - 21.30pm 13.00pm - 21.00pm 16.00pm - midnight. In addition to the pay rate advertised below, there is an elevated rate of €12.12 on Sundays. What you’ll do? You’ll get our Dublin Airport customers’ journey off to the best start by giving them an exceptional experience. Whether they’re rushing to catch an important business flight, jetting off on a romantic holiday or flying somewhere to have fun with family & friends, you’ll make sure they leave with the perfect travel read. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do so, for our Booksellers, nothing’s too much effort. That means you’ll be actively approaching customers and building strong relationships through your passion of books. As well as sharing details on our book clubs and any of the great offers we might have, you’ll also ensure our books are displayed as they should be throughout the store, including keeping our book charts up to date. Who we’re looking for Experience in a Bookseller environment would be advantageous to the role, however a background in customer-focused positions is also sufficient. Most importantly, we’re looking for people who are truly passionate about books, great listeners, naturally helpful, and who have a healthy dose of ambition. You will be able to demonstrate a broad reading background with a good awareness of contemporary bestsellers and be able to talk confidently about both.
