Overall Job Purpose To investigate all fraud incidents related to the activities of Brokers; Financial Advisers(FAs); Registered Individuals(RIs); Agencies; Firms; Introducers; Distribution Channels (Franchises & Direct Sales); and Customers. To assist in identifying and preventing fraud risks & incidents through analysis of available data related to the above. Accountabilities Working closely with the DFM and Fraud Investigator(s) within the team to investigate allegations of commission fraud Ensure all fraud investigations are conducted in accordance with the FCT terms of Reference Maintain the database, dashboard, monthly reports as and when required Manage caseload ensuring progress of individual fraud investigations Ensure robust records are kept for a sound audit trail Compiling data for analysis utilising reports from multiple systems to identify fraud trends or behaviours Retrieve and obtain internal & external documents, sound files (Call & Meeting records), system entries, and data to be used as evidence in the investigation. Interview complainants/reporters, witnesses and suspects for the purpose of producing a fair and objective record of events. Produce investigation reports with evidence and recommendations to the ACCaF and Broker Risk Forums regarding possible actions against suspects, recourse for victims and improvement of controls/systems within the company. Drafting and producing MG11 statement and associated exhibits in accordance with current legislation Work with external bodies such as law enforcement and regulatory authorities for the purpose of prosecution of offenders and the protection of the financial services industry. Liaise and work closely with existing financial crime functions, Claims Teams, Sales Compliance, Finance, Credit Control, IT, Risk and Compliance within the Group Build and maintain relationships with external specialists and external key bodies in relation to fraud, AML bribery and corruption Collaborate with other providers and key stakeholders to eradicate repeat offenders and fraud across the industry. Skills Required Essential Intermediate working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint Excelling written and verbal communication Ability to work to deadlines Decision making Proactive approach to work and analytical problem solving skills Ability to plan and organise own workload and work well under pressure both independently and as part of a team Ability to follow processes and efficiently and collect information /evidence in a friendly and professional manner High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work methodically Desirable Accredited Counter Fraud Technician or equivalent qualification Knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g. Insurance Act, DPA, Fraud Act, AML, ABC, CPIA) Knowledge FCA register, Terms of Business, Agency & Commission processes Working for Vitality, you'll experience an exciting mix of creativity and innovation, within a framework of challenging objectives and a passion for delivering the best.
