The Facilities Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing maintenance related to various Cool Aid buildings, suites, grounds, and equipment and ensures that properties are properly maintained and routinely inspects them. The Facilities Maintenance Worker duties are: Repairs and maintenance to drywall, minor electrical, minor plumbing, painting, landscaping and pressure washing. Complete and maintain all society programs as directed by the Maintenance Coordinator. Transport equipment, furniture and supplies manually and/or using aides such as dollies and carts. Maintain adequate cleaning supplies and equipment and keep all in good repair. Able to properly and safely use all supplied power tools and equipment. WHMIS knowledge and or certified. Qualifications Equivalent to Grade 12 and some related vocational training. At least one (1) to three (3) years related work experience. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Demonstrated physical/mental ability to perform the duties of the job. Demonstrated ability to work with others respectfully and cooperatively. Requirements Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Criminal Record Check. Class 5 driver’s licence. Job Information Hourly Wage Rate $21.92. Work Locations Various. Work Days Monday to Friday. Work Hours 8:30am - 4:30pm. Total Weekly Hours 40. Union: Exempt.
