Viaero Fiber Networks is looking for an experienced CAD technician/designer to perform OSP Civil engineering design and AutoCAD work for our growing Fiber network. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for fielding/drafting/design of wireline (ISP/OSP fiber) projects. Must be proficient with AutoCAD and Cad management packages, and have knowledge of Right-of-Way boundaries Able to travel and field the proposed or existing network routes with a hand held GPS (Trimble) Develop or modify deliverables based on GIS design, field gathered information, rough sketches, marked-up copies and/or detailed verbal instructions Develop necessary layouts/views, sections and details Learn and understand the standards and procedures of the current project Perform minor computations such as material quantity estimate, dimensional checks, etc. as assigned. Learn new programs or processes required for assignments Continuously evaluate methods used to accomplish the activities they have been assigned Ensure that the deliverables and tasks are complete and meet QA requirements. Minimum Qualifications 1-5 years working with AutoCAD with verifiable experience Able to work outside 50% / inside 50% Out of State travel would be required at times. Vehicle available for use when traveling. Work location is in office – Fort Morgan Colorado All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment requirements: background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records. Must be able to pass DOT physical. Preferred Job Qualifications Diploma or Certificate preferred Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design Working knowledge of the Computer Automated Drafting Design (CADD) program, “AutoCAD” is required Knowledge in (GIS, 3GIS, Visio and Civil 3D) is preferred, but not required IND123
