VetPartners has grown - since formation in 2015 - to an organisation with 135 varied veterinary practices in the UK, along with 4 Italian practices, and further practices in other European countries set to join. We’re looking for an internal communications manager to join our marketing team and to lead on exciting upcoming projects. Internal communications is a crucial role to tie together the various branches of our company, and the successful candidate will be a key guardian of the VetPartners tone of voice, brand and culture. The role will require a confident and experienced copywriter who is comfortable telling stories and communicating brand personality. Leadership and presentation skills will also be important, as will an ability to build relationships and ensure collaboration across teams and departments. Responsibilities will include internal communications such as company-wide newsletters, as well as ownership and management of wider projects, including the relaunch of the VetPartners intranet. Overview of Role: Internal communications is critical to secure good collaboration between teams, effective work processes and to make VetPartners a great place to work, in line with our values and culture. We are in the process of building effective internal communications and we need someone to help us shape and execute this project. The position will require very strong content writing and story telling skills to ensure we perfectly reflect our tone and culture across all communications. The position demands somebody confident building relationships and creating collaboration across all departments. Finally, the position will require good project management skills to lead in a number of areas, including the launch and maintenance of our intranet platform. Responsibilities: - Write effective internal communications, especially from central support teams to practices. This will include: Supporting the ops team with bi-weekly emails, our quarterly Tail newsletter and any other communications required, all hitting our tone, to communicate VetPartners’ values and culture. - Lead and support internal communications projects. In particular: Manage our intranet to make it an effective communications tool everybody uses to get news, information, templates and forms. Engage teams to keep it relevant and updated, and ensure it fully represents VetPartners’ culture and tone of voice. There will be a lot of other projects that will need to be launched from HR to Marketing or IT tools, where communications will be paramount. - Be the key guardian of the brand culture, values, tone of voice and spread it across teams. Person Specification: Proven experience in a content writing (PR, internal communications, corporate communications). Strong oral and written collaboration skills. Comfortable with change. Skills/Qualifications: Leadership: capacity to engage relevant people and teams, energise across functions and levels and execute with excellence. Communications/Collaboration: across functions, ability to communicate and listen effectively and understand feedback, excellent writing skills, strong communications and presentation skills – comfortable presenting in front of all levels within an organization. Project management: very good organisation skills to get complex projects moving, including planning and delivery.
