This is the role As European Application Engineer for the Crucibles product line, you are the technical support function for the European Product Manager, our sales team and the customer base in Europe. You are actively involved in the technical RFQ assessments for product requirements, product application and the translation of product development to production specification. You will spend half of your time at our manufacturing site in Großalmerode and half of your time travelling to, and interact with customers in the EMEA region. Your main focus and responsibilities when visiting a customer are to support in application development / optimization and problem solving. Key responsibilities: Responsible for translating customer application needs into technical specifications; Maintain customer relationships and partnerships based on technical and application development support within the foundry industry; Leverage material science knowledge by building relationships with internal and external stakeholders in the foundry industry; Support creation of clear value propositions in a highly dynamic context; Support internal stakeholders with application expertise and technical training where required. This is what you bring Experience with practical appliance of CAD software; Experience with process and product design; Meisterbrief, Techniker or Bachelor in a technical direction, combined with relevant working experience; Experience with, or knowledge of ceramics or graphite is preferred; Excellent interpersonal communication skills; Fluent in German and professional mastery of the English language, also on a technical level; You live within travel distance of Großalmerode.
