Join Veem and let's give business owners the payment system they deserve. Veem is looking to hire an experienced, detail-oriented, compliance professional to support Veem's Compliance Program. This person will report to the Chief Compliance Officer and work closely with legal/compliance professionals, risk management, business, product and operations teams for Veem. The ideal candidate will be a confident self-starter with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, exercise good judgement, experienced in regulatory compliance in payments or financial services industry, demonstrable ability to effectively and proactively engage and partner with the business in a fast-paced and engaging environment. Responsibilities: Work closely with the other Legal, Compliance professionals to support BSA/AML/sanction, privacy, information security, risk management, and other compliance areas. Support the agenda of Veem's Compliance function, including developing and/or updating Compliance policies and procedures to meet US, Canadian and other regulatory requirements (e.g. BSA/AML/Sanctions, privacy, cybersecurity, consumer complaint and protection, BCP/DR, FCPA) and conduct regulatory risk assessments and program implementation. Develop compliance metrics to measure the effectiveness of compliance program implementation to proactively mitigate regulatory risks. Work closely with operations, risk and sales team members to ensure regulatory program effectiveness. Provide compliance related training to organization. Serve as a business partner to executives and other high level internal stakeholders. Perform additional tasks as assigned. Requirements: Enthusiastic team player with creativity, resourcefulness, a passion for learning, and problem-solving. Bachelor's degree required and +5 years of work experience in compliance. Work experience in the financial services industry, specifically payments processing or money services a plus. Someone who wants to build something new and impactful. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects with competing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to change. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of business software tools and analytics.
