As a human resources (HR) advisor you'll develop, advise on and implement policies relating to the excellent management of its employees covering all aspects of performance. About the role As HR Advisor you will be responsible for anything to do with HR, ensuring policies are consistently applied and HR queries are dealt with promptly and reliably. You will take responsibility as the first port of call for all recruitment aspects in an organisation, including advising line managers and managing the onboarding process. You will also be involved in managing employee relations and performance management in partnership with our line managers. What you’ll do To be successful in this role you must have a clear understanding of our business objectives and be able to devise and implement policies which select, develop and retain the right staff to meet these objectives. As HR Advisor, you’ll be expected to add value to the organisation, and your role is likely to include: providing professional and confidential HR advice, support and administration across the full range of HR activity; including employee relations issues, terms and conditions of service, policies and procedures. advise on employment relations issues such as discipline, grievance, appeals and absence management are dealt with fairly, commercially and pragmatically. coordinate and deliver learning and development initiatives in line with the L&D strategy. develop strong relationships with our business partners to ensure our HR initiatives are aligned to support operational needs. maintain current and accurate information within the HRIS and shared drive and produce robust management information aligned to business needs. undertakes the timely and accurate processing to support the payroll process and production of relevant HR correspondence and contractual documents. coordinate the recruitment life cycle to advertise vacancies, liaise with recruitment agencies, respond to applicant queries, participate in recruitment panels, send out offer packs, induct new starters, confirm or extend staff probations. regularly contribute to the HR team, recommending improvements to systems and procedures to improve efficiency in the department. What we're looking for The ideal candidate for this position will have proven experience in HR and ideally working towards level 5 CIPD. In addition, you’ll have: · Proven experience in HR administration and providing professional HR advice and recruitment service to staff and managers · Working knowledge of employment legislation and practical experience of managing employee relations casework · Experience of administering and using HR databases and associated report and self-service functions · Experience of creating, delivering and managing learning and development initiatives. · Ability to deal tactfully and diplomatically and maintain confidentiality with internal and external stakeholders to deliver solutions · Strong IT and numeracy skills, with experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Personable with strong communication and relationship building capabilities across all levels of the business Practical and logical; able to solve problems quickly What you’ll get in return We offer our employees great benefits including a 25 days leave, access to our 24-hour confidential employee support line as well as access to a generous pension plan so that you can look forward to a bright future.
