Construction Technician works closely with Construction Managers, from the planning process through to the end of the project. Monitor the construction and stages, to ensure project is built to standards of safety and quality. Also responsible for monitoring and tracking progress and schedule and budget, assists with necessary updates and reports pertinent information and updates to construction manager. Construction Technicians contribute to construction schedules and provide cost estimates for the work required. They also help Construction Managers to hire in the crew, including laborers, carpenters, painters and drywallers/plasterers, and assist in the administration of their contracts of employment. Construction Technicians help to purchase or hire materials and tools, making sure they are delivered on time. They assist in supervising the construction of stages and sets, resolving day-to-day problems, and inspecting all work to ensure that it complies with plans, specifications, and health and safety guidelines.
