We're adding an Automation Service Engineers to our team of experts in order to better support our customers with world-class technology solutions and services, to further enlarge our presence on the Italian market for Paper&Board, Energy and Marine automation systems, and to be a leader also in the Industrial Internet revolution. In this position you will start with intensive training on Valmet products and tools, and, as your understanding of our equipment and your confidence with PLC develop, you will be involved in active maintenance, creation and modification of software, selection of equipment to be purchased, start-up and service of our equipment at customer site. Even if you have little experience, it can be a fast path forward if you only have passion for your work! As an Automation Service Engineer you will Provide after sales service to assigned customer, meaning execution of service agreements, execution of service tasks on all Valmet Automation products (DCS, Analyzers, Quality Control Systems like scanners, sensors,etc.) and on-call service when requested. Ensure satisfaction of installed-base customer with regular installed base audits and reports Train customer’s personnel upon request Identify potential for new service business Provide sales support for service and capital projects sales Promote a safe and environment-friendly behavior in all situation When participating in new installation projects, you will also have the opportunity to coordinate with suppliers and contractors, to ensure delivery of their parts according to Valmet standards. You will also execute project start-up when needed. To be successful in this position you need Background from technical high school or engineering university in electronics or Mechatronics (also mechanical engineering can be a good starting background) At least 3 years in a similar position with systematic travelling Good command of safety norms relevant to electric equipment and controls for industrial processes, and risk assessment Autocad or other engineering software Excellent use of Microsoft Office, internet, e-mail, company ERP Fluent English, spoken and written (all training is in English!) Good understanding of electrical/wiring diagrams, PLC and DCS programming Inclination for mechanical and electrical / electronic devices maintenance Knowledge of the paper making and energy process (e.g. stock prep, steam and condensate, flue gas and water treatment, power island, boiler, etc…) Good understanding of measurement and control systems for industrial processes Flexibility and interest for a complex job including engineering and start-up Good coordination skill, needed to handle a busy agenda and remain cool in start-up activities.
