As our Bookkeeper / Accounts Manager, you will be the lead person managing our day-to-day accounts, invoicing, payroll and finance. You're the type of person who wants to understand the "why" and "how" of your role (not just learning "what" to do). We're a successful and growing technology company. What you'll do In this role, you will: Be our lead accounts person managing all day-to-day accounts matters, reporting to our CFO. Generate invoices and manage accounts receivable, including handling inquiries and following up with clients on payments and overdue accounts. Generate orders and manage accounts payable. Assist with procurement and management of stock. Manage receipt of goods. Reconcile licensing and user counts for subscriptions provided to clients. Manage expenses. Process payroll including leave and expense reimbursements. Setup and manage employees in the payroll system. Prepare monthly superannuation and other lodgements. Prepare payments and direct debits. Assist with cashflow projections and reporting. Perform month-end reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards and other records. General office administration and support You will report to our CFO and work with our procurement team and other support staff. Although you're the lead accounts person, other team members are there to assist and support you. Your background and skills You're a highly intelligent person who understands their job. Experience in similar roles is essential. Strong communication skills. Confident computer skills including financial systems and Excel. A can-do attitude, an ability to manage a number of complex tasks with a high level of attention to detail. Experience in the IT sector is highly beneficial but not essential. Experience with Xero and Connectwise would be extra beneficial. There's more to work than the job We have a friendly culture and great team.
