Great, here’s who we’re looking for… Are you a well-rounded, experienced JavaScript Developer? Do you have previous experience writing JavaScript, CSS3, and HTML5? What You’ll Do Develop, update, and implement the features and interfaces of user-facing components Accurately produce frontend UI components based on creative mock-ups Architect efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications Identify and optimize applications for scalability and performance Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders Adhere to internal workflow and development standards Escalate issues to senior or lead team members Requirements What We’re Looking For 5+ years of JavaScript experience, including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES5/ES6 5+ years of HTML/CSS experience, including concepts like layout, specificity, cross browser compatibility, and accessibility Post-secondary education in computer science, IT, related technical field, or equivalent experience Proficient browser APIs and optimizing front end performance Demonstrated experience with React/React Native Familiar with Object Oriented Programming Familiar with CSS pre-processing platforms, such as SCSS OR libraries such as Styled Components, CSS-in-JS, and CSS Modules Knowledge of Objective-C/Swift for iOS and/or Java/Kotlin for Android is a plus Proficient with code versioning tools (Git, SVN) Basic Photoshop image manipulation, cropping, slicing, and optimizing for web Effective written and verbal communication, with a high level of attention to detail Strong problem-solving skills and a broad knowledge of web development techniques and principles Knowledge of current web trends and standards The ability to work across multiple projects without compromising quality Eagerness to participate in team status meetings and brainstorming sessions The ability to communicate project and task status and any issues to internal and external stakeholders Benefits Of course we offer the basic benefits (vacation, sick time, health and dental, professional development), however we are proud to offer additional perks such as: Company Matching RRSP Program Yearly travel credit Remote and flexible working arrangements Transit discounts Fitness discounts Free office snacks and drinks Recreational sports teams Health spending account Farm share program Recognition rewards
