Student Life Adviser 37 hours per week term time (36 weeks) and 29.6 hours per week outside of term time (16 weeks) £23,067 to £25,941 per annum, pro rata (actual salary - £21,682 to £24,384 per annum) We are seeking a professional with experience of providing information, advice and guidance on a range of topics relating to student life, including welfare and wellbeing concerns for all students. Our ideal candidate should have excellent communication and numeracy skills, a good working knowledge of support services, be confident working with crisis and complex and sensitive issues, and be passionate about helping others develop life skills, confidence and insight. This post will also specifically hold responsibility for supporting Care Leavers, Young Carers, and support the University in improving student retention. We are seeking a committed team player who demonstrates empathy, kindness and good judgement, who will work to follow procedures and care pathways and undertake liaison with other University departments to ensure students’ support needs are appropriately addressed. Normal hours of work will be 37 per week during University term-time (36 weeks per year) and 29.6 hours per week out of term-time (16 weeks per year). Preferred working days are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday out of term-time. There will be some requirement to work evenings and weekends on occasion.
