Full Time, Fixed term for 24 months in the first instance The University of Wales Trinity Saint David is looking to appoint two suitably qualified individuals for the post of Administrative Officer: Student Support at our London Campuses (Holborn/Oval). The Role UWTSD is committed to transforming education and has a commitment to enhancing the student experience by providing a one stop shop approach to student issues and information. You will serve as the first point of call for student queries and will be empowered to resolve a list of common student queries and issues without the need for further referral. Where referral is required, you will make an active referral and track the resolution of student issues through to completion. Within the London campus, the student frontline team will be in regular communication with colleagues to ensure a consistent high-quality approach to student support across UWTSD. Precise requirements will vary but will encompass the following broad areas: Provide a positive, proactive, responsive and professional reception support and enquiry service to all students Serve as the interface between students and other parts of the University support services / professional units including Finance and Registry Plan, manage and organise registration and induction for new students Develop good relationships and maintain regular contact with students, and obtain informal feedback, ensuring follow up actions Implement and monitor the attendance system, in full compliance with University and UKVI requirements and highlight any issues promptly and initiate appropriate processes for such students Support students with queries related to Student Loans Company (SLC) Proactively ensure that all individual student data, including data related to student finance, is accurate and current at all times Continuously update student records on student management information systems (e.g. SITS) Manage student letter requests, including requests for authorised absences, travel, term break letters, etc. Benefits Include Salary: £22,417 - £25,941 per year (plus £2,750 London weighting) 28 days annual leave per year (plus 8 bank holidays & 4 University closure days) Opportunities for learning & development USS Employer Pension Scheme Requirements You should have: Previous experience of working in Higher Education Experience of working with people from multicultural backgrounds Knowledge of UKVI regulations regarding international students Knowledge of student finance regarding Home/EU students Previous experience of data management IT literacy, possessing knowledge of Microsoft Office packages Further details, including the full Person Specification, can be found in the Job Description below.
