JOB SUMMARY: The architectural Intern will work with the design studio core team on a variety of projects. this team will assist in the design and documentation of a variety of projects in collaboration with the design development team by producing drawings and sketches of the project at hand and by documenting venues across all Universal Parks and Resorts and associated companies. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Complete architectural drawings in CAD to support the creative project assigned. Provide electronic 3D modeling services in SketchUp or other formats that accurately and clearly depict the architectural design intent. Participate in the development of architectural and creative concept development. Assist in the assembly of documentation into a presentation format utilizing Adobe Photoshop, PowerPoint and/or digital formats. Assist in the development of aesthetic design, color boards, sketching and drafting needed to convey the design intent to outside Architectural and Engineering firms. Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION: In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above. Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program. Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA is preferred. An official transcript may be required upon request. Preferred majors may include: Architecture EXPERIENCE: Key skills for success in role includes but not limited to: Must have working knowledge of AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Revit, Adobe Suite, SketchUp, 3DMax and Hand Sketching. Knowledge of 3D Modeling, Animation and Digital Painting is a plus Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Programs including, but not linted to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities an organisation. Exceptional attention to detail Superior written and vernal communication skills Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines. Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams.
