The IT Project Manager’s main focus will be on facilitating project delivery as well as drive change within the business through new IT project rollouts. This role will form part of an agile IT team and will focus primarily on managing ongoing projects as well as be involved in future project requirements gathering and business enablement. This role will have a strong focus on aiding transitions to new software solutions and enhancing internal technological enablement. Reporting to the Information Technology and Data Science Manager you will be based in the Western Cape. Duties and Responsibilities The Project Manager role will predominantly be focused on aiding internal business requirements gathering and project deliveries. A key responsibility will be to evaluate existing business practices for future improvement and the application of technology in the long-term; collaborating with multiple stakeholders to drive change and efficiency within the business. Additional responsibilities will include: Perform requirements gathering and analysis. Accurately determine, assign, track and manage project tasks, activities and documentation. Work with 3rd party agencies in gathering business requirements, documenting business processes and setting project deadlines. Translate internal business processes and requirements into adequate software requirements and documents including but not limited to: Business Requirement and Functional Requirement Specifications Wireframes and Workflow diagrams Data Modelling and Entity relationship diagrams Test plans, Test cases and UAT plans Assist with internal UAT and work with business stakeholders in understanding process changes to ensure successful delivery of a project Identifies process improvements to define an ideal “future state” for business solutions Manage internal expectations around project deadlines and solution functionality Qualifications & Experience Applicable Degree (Management, Information Systems) and/or Project Management Certifications ((PMP)/PRINCE II) Three (3) or more years of similar experience. Knowledge and experience in project management process and systems Experience in the following will be advantageous: ERP Solutions and Project roll outs (SAP, Oracle, Netsuite.); BI and Data analytics projects (SQL, Tableau, PowerBI.); Fruit Exports, Agricultural or Finance based project experience. Skills: Excellent computer literacy; MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook). Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills. Excellent computer literacy; MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook). Good relationship building and interpersonal skills. Strong time management skills and deadline driven. Strong systems focus.
