The Opportunity This is a level 4 Network Engineer role responsible for: Being the point of technical escalation for Infrastructure Operations staff. Providing project support as required to deliver projects. Analysing system and network performance using monitoring and graphical data. Supporting L3 via diagnosing network and service issues and following them through to resolution. Working on networking aspects of projects, acting as technical lead or project engineer. Working with Operations L3 team to implement planned changes. Attaining and implement proposals for improvements/optimisation to the network environment. Collaborating with vendors and engineers to drive the deployment throughout the project lifecycle and ensure proper solution delivery. Establishing and implement network management policies and guidelines to ensure the maximum availability of UniSuper’s network Identifying areas for improvement and development with the capability to implement industry best practices About You Ideally you will have some of the following:- Experience in a previous Network Engineering Role Experience in the use and support of network monitoring and analysis tools; Knowledge and exposure to Juniper switches, routers, and firewalls JNCIA qualification desirable Knowledge and exposure to F5 LTM/GTM desirable. Knowledge and exposure to Aruba NAC (ClearPass, WiFi, VPN) desirable. Knowledge of Data Centre technologies Knowledge of public cloud technologies and associated Network concepts to connect and consume services desirable. Knowledge and understanding of Compute, Storage, Network and Database functions A sound understanding of the SDLC and the general principles of change, incident and problem management.
