About the Team Think of our People Operations team as the backbone of the People department. Our mission is to ensure labor compliance in everything we do. We make sure the data accuracy is top-notch, manage and implement policies and procedures and handle all internal HR operations processes for Typeformers in Spain and the USA. About the Role In People Operations, we treat humans not as resources but, well—humans. Our product, Typeform, does the same. We're helping thousands of people to get closer to their audience—by making data collection more conversational. We recruit, hire, and onboard people who share our values. But we don't stop once you memorize the door entry code. We support typeformers to work effectively in their teams, and collaborate across the rest of the company with anything related to internal HR operations processes. You will be the owner of several key processes in our employee lifecycle, proactively bringing improvements and helping us scale up our processes as well as bringing them to the next level as we grow. As an HR Specialist or People Operations Specialist, as we like to call it, you will help inspire our staff to bring their absolute best to Typeform's mission. Here's what you'll do: Fully own the admin side of our onboarding and offboarding processes and ensure amazing employee experience, seeking solutions for improvement and process optimization. Manage employee benefits and relationships with benefit providers: Help our people get the most out of their perks—the learning budget, healthcare, gym membership, our employee reward system, and more! Support the team with Payroll processes (in Spain and the USA) and guide people through our compensation offer. Manage our relocation and immigration processes with external providers, being a go to person for questions from Typeform managers and employees. Compliance: Make things clear when it comes to internal policies and legal obligations -review policies and procedures and define new ones, ensuring Typeform is compliant in all of our labor processes. As a subject matter expert, you will be the go-to person for labor law and payroll questions for all of our employees. Manage internal HR systems—and help implement new ones—to make sure the data and processes are as effective and accurate as possible. Manage relationships with our labor law advisers, lawyers and benefit providers. About you --------- Here's what we're after: You have strong knowledge and experience in Spanish labour law and labour processes. You are experienced setting up new HR policies and procedures. You have 5 years of experience in similar roles: Payroll Specialist, HR Generalist, People Operations You have experience and knowledge of core HR tech stack: HRIS systems, Payroll, and Benefits, Compensation Management, communication tools. You have managed HRIS systems end-to-end You have experience managing payroll processes for 200+ employee company and a good payroll processes knowledge - you're the go-to person for any employee questions and know the ins and outs of the payslip concepts! You bring a strong data mindset and experience analyzing data. Excel is your best friend! You're fluent in English and Spanish and are eager to work in a multicultural, international environment. You've got great communication skills and can comfortably write / re-write policies or procedures that will be shared with all Typeformers. You have a degree in Employee Relations or HR You're organized, detail-oriented, able to work independently, and great at prioritizing. You don't ever compromise on quality You are proactive and flexible You have a service mindset. You love dealing with questions and requests from employees and finding solutions! You jump at the chance to tackle problems. You're constantly thinking of bringing improvements to the process, you're open to change and are flexible (you're not a prisoner of your own ideas!). You are tech savvy And for some added bonus points: You are familiar and experienced with US employment law (California or other) You know what it's like to work in a start-up environment where priorities and sense of urgency can change continuously. You have set up onboarding and offboarding processes. You're knowledgeable on the immigration processes in Spain and experience managing international relocations. You have worked with BambooHR.
