The Greater Wellington Regional Collaborative are committed to improving health outcomes for our communities through effective primary healthcare. Collectively we represent primary health organisations in the Wellington region (including Porirua and Kapiti), Hutt Valley and Wairarapa. Through innovation, quality services, strong inter-service working relationships and a person-centered approach we believe in providing care closest to a person's home. Our Primary Mental Health Services are focused on delivering culturally appropriate interventions across the Wellington region. We are looking for mental health professionals with experience in delivering psychological therapies to join our clinical services teams working directly within General Practice. The role of Health Improvement Practitioner is modelled on the successful US Behavioural Health Consultancy role. It involves being an integral part of the general practice team, working directly with individuals and whanau to help improve their mental health and wellbeing. This includes providing consultations and advice to other members of the general practice team. Successful applicants will receive comprehensive training and ongoing mentoring from international consultants, which will appeal to clinicians with an interest and expertise in behavioural health and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
