If you are a detail oriented individual with strong organizational skills who is looking for a part-time, flexible schedule, this is the role for you. About the Role Supported by the Controller, the Accounts Receivable Clerk works closely with Department Leaders in performing general accounting duties. Schedule: Full-time Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm Wage: $18.00 per hour Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Accounts Receivable: Daily cash balancing and reconciliation (reconcile bank, create periodic cash sheet for distribution) Accounts receivable duties including performing collection and follow-up with clients and receiving payments Preparing bank deposits Performing bank runs Process and modify all pre-authorized payment adjustments for client and bank reference Post and reconcile manufacturer billing documents and statements Reconcile account and schedules as directed Communicate effectively with Department Leaders and Controllers to obtain or correct all required documents Demonstrate behaviours consistent with the Trotman Auto Groups expectations as it pertains to interactions with customers, colleagues and vendors Additional duties as outlined by management Accounts Payable: Perform basic bookkeeping, filing, and clerical duties Reconcile monthly Accounts Payable Sub-ledger to respective General Ledger accounts Processing accounts payable invoices and payment requests and issuing reimbursement checks Processing payments to vendors Prepare correspondence and documents as necessary Assist in providing information in external audit and internal audits Additional duties as assigned by management Qualifications: Must have a minimum of 1 - 2 years of recent experience in an Accounting role Previous experience in the automotive industry in an Accounting role is a strong asset Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task Must maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality Ability to effectively respond to and meet the needs of a diverse client base The ability to self-manage one's self in a fast paced and deadline-oriented role Strong written and oral communication skills (English fluently) Must possess an intermediate level aptitude in the following applications - MS Office applications, Outlook About Us Recognized as one of the most innovative dealer groups in Canada, Trotman Auto Group also known as "TAG", is an industry-leading, diversified dealer group representing 12 major OEM brands through 11 dealerships located across British Columbia.
