Trinity Tech Inc. is a leading North American automotive quality engineering services provider with 5 Branches and 6 Warehouses across Canada, the United States, and Mexico. Trinity launched a new project of importing Modular Homes from Asia and marketing across Canada. Based on the company’s development plan, we urgently require an Ocean Import / Logistics Coordinator who can assist in developing import and export business with proficiency in marine shipping business. Duties and Responsibilities: Co-ordinate, assign and review the work of logistic team members within an Import and Export Department Daily interaction with supplies in Asia to achieve goals. Maintain an external awareness of the industry and related purchasing trends, global material shortages and new technology as it relates to the products produced. Work closely with other department team members and Managers during new product development/redesign phase to ensure purchased product costs, quality standards and product availability fall within the established criteria of the new product. Assist company(s) in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers in Asia Plan, organize and oversee ocean import logistics and prepare and submit progress and other reports and co-ordinate activities with Import and Export department Review supplier contracts with the purchasing team and relay necessary information to the quality and production groups as needed. · Responsible for handling international transportation processes. · Manage freight payments and work directly with freight providers and carriers to follow up freight payment and carry out reporting and analysis functions. Receive, review, and process import documentation · Update shipment status, issue arrival notice and obtain entry documents for customs entries. · Communicate with customs brokers to confirm customs release status. · Quality control audits on each container received Reconcile Receiving Errors with Shipping Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery Follow up with suppliers, as needed to confirm or change orders Customs clearance follows up with customs specialized broker. Manage all cross-border and logistics activities in close coordination with suppliers, freight forwards, transportation carriers, and warehousing/third-party logistics service providers Handling ocean import freight files Shipment delivery arrangements and planning Verification of OBL & payment requirements prior to shipment release Responsible to ensure the approval of supplier’s invoices and verifying overseas affiliate’s remittance on a timely basis Other duties as assigned Qualifications Strong communication skills Outstanding customer service skills Hands-on experience on overseeing orders from end to end Extremely detail oriented and organized in assuring clients are invoiced properly Ability to work efficiently in a team environment, as well as independent The ability to organize, prepare, and assemble documents or reports containing data from several sources. The ability to use Company-standard software for word processing, spreadsheets, etc., to generate more elaborate reports, charts, and graphs as applicable. 10 + experience in ocean freight operations is preferred Skills of establish work schedules and procedures Co-ordination skills for activities with overseas suppliers, other work units or departments Benefits: Extended health care Dental care Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $32.00 /hour Experience: Ocean Import: 1 year (Preferred)
