Trimac Transportation is seeking a dedicated, resourceful and analytical candidate for a full-time permanent position located at our corporate head office: 3215 12th Street NE. Knowledge/Responsibilities: Act as Team Lead in the administration and coordination of the fuel cycle by ensuring the weekly and monthly processes are completed accurately and on time; Safeguarding of assets such as fuel cards through proper use and ongoing review of internal controls, processes and procedures; Lead and coordinate fuel projects as required; Manage issuance and cancellation of fuel cards; provide relief to Fuel Analyst in processing fuel card orders/cancellations; Oversee fuel reports, as assigned; Input manual fuel sales transactions; Balance branch fuel inventory monthly; Oversee fuel payments for vendors; Upload weekly vendor fuel files; Prepare weekly Comdata, EFS and Pilot money wire; Oversee daily fuel transaction loads; Manage and prepare monthly account reconciliations (Fuel Clearing, Branch Fuel Inventory and Accrued Fuel Liability accounts) and investigate variances; Analyze month-end variances in fuel expense account and report to management; Make recommendations for process improvements in Fuel; Liaise with HR/Payroll on fuel-related Independent Contractor deductions; Liaise with Purchasing on fuel-related issues; Liaise with TIS on fuel processing issues; Liaise with cardlock vendors on fuel card issues; Oversee work of other fuel staff, provide training and assistance as necessary; Other duties as assigned. Customer Interaction / Contacts: Respond to inquiries from branches and vendors via phone, email or mail; Work with Operational Managers to resolve inventory or fuel card issues. Supervisory Responsibilities: Act as a team lead to the Fuel Analyst. Knowledge and Experience Required: Minimum of 3 - 5 years of accounting experience; Minimum of 2 years team lead experience; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Strong computer skills as you will be working in a number of different systems and programs. i.e. TMW, credit card portals. Minimum intermediate Excel skill level. Considered an asset: Experience in transportation; Experience in operational accounting. This role will be closing on March 24, 2020.
