About the role: GOTO Conferences is searching for a marketing intern to work on the global GOTO Conferences brand strategy and execution as well as marketing for all local GOTO Conferences brands: GOTO Oslo, GOTO Chicago, GOTO Amsterdam, GOTO Berlin and GOTO Copenhagen. You’ll work closely with the London-based marketing team to create content and help execute campaign timelines. This includes aligning with each local conference team to support their goals and needs. This internship will allow you to dive into the tech industry, interact with some of the world’s leading software development experts and grow your marketing skills surrounded by a supportive team—both in person and remotely. 20 hours a week; a mix of remote working with weekly visits to central London office. Primary responsibilities include: Create and help execute custom content strategies for email campaigns, blog posts, press releases, partners and international speakers Create social media content, build Twitter lists and engage with each social community in order to grow impressions and followers Source content for blog and email campaigns Manage email lists and assist with email metrics analysis (CTR, open rates, a/b tests, etc.) Assist with press outreach and interview coordination Assist with community partner outreach and management Ensure our events are published across event listing websites Work with external designers to create marketing collateral for campaigns Copyedit conference websites, talk abstracts, speaker bios, meetup announcements, newsletter copy, etc. Provide onsite support at conferences and meetups when needed Skills and requirements: Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills Available to work 15 hours a week during a 3-month trial period Ability to commute to central London office at least once a week Ability to work remotely: access to wifi; ability to take video calls during working hours An interest in events An interest in new technologies and the ability to learn about software development terminology and trends Data driven Detail-oriented with exceptional time management skills and an ability to prioritize: you’ll be working across several teams in various time zones!
