Summary Description Human Resources Coordinator provides support to the organizations Human Resources function. Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions Supports recruitment and hiring strategies across all business units. Conducts monthly meetings with hiring managers to support and maintain workforce needs. Assists in the full hiring process of employees, including recruitment, interviews, verifying work-history and references and maintains candidate’s recruitment cycle in applicant tracking system. Ensures timely completion of pre-hire process including pre-employment drug screening, post offer physicals, background checking and scheduling of orientation. Develops and maintains professional relationships with trade schools, community colleges, and colleges/universities as a source for qualified applicants. Ensures timely completion of annual affirmative action plan. Ensures legal compliance by monitoring applicable human resource federal and state requirements, maintaining records, representing the organization. Files annual EEO-1 and Vets report. Administers company wellness program through wellness vendor, develops communications and assists employees with online portal. Coordinates annual flu shot program. Provides training and guidance to hiring managers in reference to the applicant tracking system. Maintains current personnel files and ensures timely filing of documents. Performs other related duties as assigned. Job Qualifications Skills & Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field or equivalent years’ experience. Minimum of 1-2 years’ work experience in human resources. Experience using HR software or applicant tracking database a plus. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Ability to handle difficult situations in a professional, constructive manner. Intermediate level computer literacy including word processing, formatting spreadsheets, processing emails and database management. Good organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize to meet deadlines. Good attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work as a team in a fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. General knowledge of construction business desirable but not required. Physical Requirements: Working 40 hours/week, scheduled in 8 to 10 hour shifts. Vision adequate for daily and consistent computer use and reading. Sitting 6 to 8 hours/day. Lifting weights of 0 to 30 lbs. from floor to above shoulders. Repetitive use of hands for writing, typing, data entry.
