The Mechanical Engineering (ME) Intern will assist the Mechanical Engineering Team in creating and maintaining systems that support engineering, production, and enforces engineering standards. The ME Intern will, with the guidance from the Mechanical Engineers, design, test, prototype and document mechanical and/electrical subsystems in a clean room production environment. Mechanical Engineers are vital members of our engineering team and Mechanical Engineer Intern will gain experience with a wide variety of equipment and processes during their time at TSS Paso. Some of the Essential Functions Include: Detailing of mechanical components and assemblies. This will include dimensioning, Bill of material updates, and modification to existing/standard drawings. Mechanical design of industrial/manufacturing equipment components and fixtures using SolidWorks or Siemens NX. Design of electromechanical components and systems. Programming of HMIs and PLCs on industrial equipment. Interface with fabrication/manufacturing/tool making teams. Assist the Mechanical Engineering team in diagnosing/trouble shooting manufacturing equipment. Minimum Job Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a BS/BA or MS program with either mechanical, manufacturing, or electrical engineering focus. Mechanical preferred. 0-3 Years of manufacturing industry experience. Must be interested in and comfortable working on the manufacturing floor and in the fabrication shop. Demonstrated PC skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
