Trans Mountain Corporation operates Canada’s only pipeline system transporting crude oil and refined products to the West Coast. We deliver nearly 300,000 barrels of crude oil and refined products each day through 1,274 kilometers of pipeline in Alberta, British Columbia and Washington State. The Trans Mountain Expansion Project will provide increased capacity to support Canadian crude oil production growth and ensure access to global energy markets. The largest project in our history, it involves the installation of approximately 980 km of new pipeline, new and modified facilities including pump stations and terminals, and a new dock complex at the Westridge Marine Terminal in British Columbia. As a federal Crown corporation, the newly formed Trans Mountain Corporation will continue to build upon our 65 years of experience delivering operational and safety excellence through our crude oil pipeline system. We are accountable to Parliament through the Canada Development Investment Corporation (CDEV). As a wholly-owned subsidiary of CDEV, we are governed by an independent Board of Directors. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Supports EHS employees with general administrative work including filing, maintaining loaner PPE stock, purchasing office supplies, arranging travel, ordering and receiving catering and meeting minutes Supports department financial administration requirements including invoice coding, employee expenses, new vendor setup and procurement activities Develops reports and presentations with data gathered from EHS employees including the EHS weekly report, as well as presentations to the Board of Directors Provide assistance to various EHS programs and initiatives including scheduling and administering the safety BBQ’s, managing safety awards, assisting with EHS key performance indicator tracking and reporting Event Planning: contract negotiations with hotel providers, developing catering menus, managing lodging requirements, conference room set up and organizing AV requirements Requirements: Post-secondary education or technical diploma in Administration or related field Minimum of 5 years of administrative experience Specific knowledge of the pipeline and EHS industry would be an asset Excellent computer skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work independently and yet be a dedicated and committed team player Ability to demonstrate tact, diplomacy, and professionalism, and exercise discretion in dealing with confidential information Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at differing levels within the organization Superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner As an equal opportunity employer, Trans Mountain Canada actively encourages applications from traditionally underrepresented groups, including women, Indigenous Peoples, members of visible minorities and persons with disabilities.
