Position Overview We are seeking exceptional university students and recent graduates who want to build their professional skills while gaining experience with a global brand. Apply to be considered for our paid internship program. Applicants must be available to work up to 40 hours per week June 8, 2020 – August 14, 2020. The Tiffany Intern Learning Experience This nine-week internship program will create a learning experience that will be a strong foundation for a future career. Students will have the chance to showcase their potential while applying their knowledge and skills learned in the classroom to the workplace at Tiffany. Throughout the program, Tiffany will provide on-the-job training as well as educational and networking opportunities for the interns. Each intern will assist their designated department with day-to-day responsibilities and special projects. Additionally, each intern will participate in a capstone project to demonstrate their learning experience and contributions to the organization. Application deadline: March 31, 2020 Responsibilities Objective 1: Participate in Research and Development projects. You will work alongside experienced Engineering, CAD and model making professionals while participating in jewelry research and development projects. Activities/Resources: Research new materials, equipment, methods and processes as they apply to jewelry manufacturing and production. Design testing methods and templates to validate new materials and processes. Track project timelines to ensure proper execution of tasks in a timeline manner. Assist in building a physical materials reference library. Abide by office and workshop best practices including adhering to health and safety requirements at all times. Objective 2: Communication and Collaboration with cross functional partners Activities/Resources: Communicate effectively to keep team updated on project status, issues and concerns. Identify potential barriers to meeting completion timelines as soon as they arise and communicate this to affected cross functional partners. Participate in innovation project meetings and distribute meeting minutes to all stakeholders. Collaborate with model makers, CAD and engineering teams to provide solutions to design or manufacturing issues flagged for consideration. Qualifications Studying towards an Engineering Degree Working knowledge of CAD Document management experience Effective communication skills: verbal, written and presentation Proficiency utilizing MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) Ability to work in a team environment Ability to understand, communicate and create technical manufacturing documentation
