Tidewater has an immediate opening for a Trade Analyst, reporting to the Vice President, Gas Marketing. This is a full-time position based in Calgary. The successful candidate will be an outgoing team player with a key position at the front line representing the face of Tidewater. Trade Analyst The Trade Analyst role is a key role within Tidewater’s Gas Marketing Group which will be focused on both commercial and interfacing with internal Risk and Finance teams. The successful candidate will have formal accounting training combined with a commercially minded analytical skillset. Summary of Responsibilities: Natural gas market monitoring with fundamental analysis Periodic trading support (with a willingness to work some weekends). Conceiving and implementing strategies to optimize financial performance of Tidewater’s Portfolio of Gas Plants, Transportation, and Storage Assets. Extensive interfacing with ETRM system to implement, enhance, and perform new and existing reporting capabilities, and ad hoc data analysis. Qualifications: A University degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field. Recognized Accounting Designation would be an asset. Advanced analytic and spreadsheet skills. Coding skills would be an asset. 0-5 years of Energy Industry experience. Consideration will be given to motivated recent graduates.
